Bamboo caterpillar, Omphisa fuscidentalis (Hampson, 1896) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) can be found in Asian countries, such as Thailand. Larvae are often harvested and often deep-fried. They can be found for sale in markets or packaged and sold in stores for human consumption. They measure a few centimeters in length and have a nutty flavor.
